Bringing early health assessment closer.
For many rural families, a health concern may remain unnoticed while everyday responsibilities continue. Late Vidya Kulkarni Foundation begins by visiting households and understanding the health concerns people are living with. Survey findings then guide organised health assessments within the village, with volunteer doctors participating where further evaluation is required. Pathological testing, diabetes assessment, obesity checks and heart related evaluation form part of the Foundation’s preventive health activities.
Understanding a health concern is often the first meaningful step towards addressing it. Household surveys help identify people who may require closer attention, while locally organised health assessments create a practical path towards further evaluation. Volunteer medical participation strengthens this process by bringing professional knowledge closer to rural families.
The value of health assessment can continue beyond the day it takes place. When people understand diabetes risk, obesity, heart related concerns or other health issues more clearly, they can make better informed decisions about their wellbeing and recognise when continued medical attention may be needed.
Health is often valued after it is disturbed; wisdom lies in caring for it while there is still time.
We will share recent updates and progress of this campaign here. Stay tuned for the latest developments and success stories.
